How to Integrate Social Networking Sites on Blogs

It is beyond doubt that most of the marketers and brands have jumped on to the bandwagon of Social media. Social networking sites are of extreme importance when it comes to promoting your articles or product. So, quite expectedly, most of the bloggers would like to see some sort of social networking mechanism in their blogs. Some of the networking websites, with which people would like their blogs have a connection, are Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn et cetera. There are some tools provided by each of these social networking sites that can help get some social activities on your blog. They are discussed below.

Comments from Facebook and Twitter :
You would definitely notice that some highly popular blogs get many comments from its followers. When an article is posted on your blog, you would obviously want people to read it and flood your newsfeed with constructive criticisms or praises. Now, many a times it happens that your social media friends read your article but could not post a comment because they did not have an account with the blogging website you use. In this case, comments via Facebook or Twitter would be highly appreciated. You can visit the developer network of these social websites and check for comments integration. Blogging websites allow copy-pasting some code to incorporate plug-ins in the blog.

Like or Retweet option :
Another cheeky but immensely significant social network plug-in to integrate on your blog is the like/retweet button. You must have noticed that when you ‘like’ certain articles on a website it gets published on your Facebook timeline. Similar things happen when you click on a ‘retweet’ button adjacent to the article. So it is must-have plug-in for all the bloggers. Codes for Facebook ‘like’ button and Twitter ‘Retweet’ button can be found from the developers’ zone in those respective websites.

Sign-in via other networking website account :
Some of the blogging content may require some privacy. Many bloggers have their visitors made an account in their independent blogging website. It becomes very user friendly for visitors if the details can be fetched from other websites. ‘Sign in’ with Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn has become immensely popular. In fact, business or job related blogging sites require some amount of work and education information about their visitors. It is better to use LinkedIn for that purpose. Users also feel relaxed because they just need to click on a simple button instead of filling up an online registration form.

Follow the author option :
Some people may call this narcissistic but it is pre-requisite for a good blogger to have their followers of the blog in the social media too. A simple ‘follow’ button or ‘Like the page’ button would suffice the purpose. The Twitter ‘follow’ button would enable visitors to follow your twitter account too. If you had a Facebook page, then ‘like’ on your blog should increase the number of likes of your page.

So, these are some predefined tools of social media that can be integrated on your blog. To increase the popularity of your blog these tools are necessary.
